Carved in limestone over the entrance to a cave that was both a dwelling place and a ceremonial site, she was painted red, the colour of life, blood and rebirth. With her left hand, she points to her belly, and in her right hand she holds a horned crescent marked with thirteen lines, the number of moon cycles in a solar year. From Europe, c. 20,000 BC. $28.95

Nile River Goddess

Nile River Goddess

The Nile River Goddess is the Egyptian Goddess of regeneration. Also known as the Egyptian Bird-Headed Snake Goddess, her head is often in the shape of a bird or a snake, living symbols of the great mother at that time (4000 BC). She stands tall, drawing down the energy of the moon with her arms. An original Goddess sculpture by Archeomyth, available only at WonderWorks. $40.95
