Discovering the Benefits of Eucalyptus Essential Oil
Eucalyptus is a famous essential oil for winter, mostly known for its medicinal effects. It helps decongest our sinuses and open our respiratory system up so that we can breathe better and get more oxygen in.
To purify the air in your home or office:
Use in an aromatherapy diffuser. Blends well with basil, bergamot, cedarwood, citronella, ginger, oregano, juniper, lavender, lemon, lime, marjoram, orange, peppermint, pine, rosemary, spearmint, tea tree, and lime.
Use in a spray bottle or atomizer and mix a quarter of a teaspoon (15 drops) of eucalyptus oil with half a teaspoon of vodka, and add water.
In place of regular cleaners in the home, take a more natural, yet powerful approach using Eucalyptus Oil!
As a toilet bowl disinfectant, simply mix 50ml of essential oil with a litre of water.
To clean counters, mix approx. a tablespoon of essential oil with a tablespoon of natural soap or diswashing liquid and add water. Can mix in a spray bottle.
Also is great to clean stainless steel.
Removes sticky residue from glass surfaces.
In your laundry:
Can help to remove ink or grease from clothes.
Use as a freshener for your clothes by adding 1-2 teaspoons to your wash load. It will also have a microbial effect.
To get rid of dust mites in your bedding, add 25 drops of eucalyptus to hot water when washing sheets and mattress pad, letting soak for 20 minutes. Or add 1/2 oz to bottle of detergent. Also spray your mattress and pillow with essential oil with water mix.
For your plants:
Use as a natural bug repellent. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of essential oil with 1 litre of water.
Eucalyptus is an amazing essential oil with a multitude of purposes. The health benefits that are well known include anti-inflammatory, decongestant, antiseptic, stimulating and antibacterial properties.
